The loft, offering a kid haven with an arcade game and a foosball table, leaves the living area and dining/card table open for a rousing game of cards or puzzling with one of the many puzzles offered. The kitchen had enough odds and ends for cooking throughout our stay. We also appreciated the proximity to Big Bear’s Oktoberfest, it was a short, safe walk. We booked this Airbnb for my fiancés surprise birthday celebration and he loved it! He kept talking to his family how great it was and how it had so many amenities! He loved the selection of games they had and he described the second floor as the perfect man-cave. We loved how the crib for our baby came included and provided a diaper changer. It was so comfortable, private, and cozy! We definitely recommend and hope to stay here again in the future!

Here’s a polished version of your review: #BearMountainHangout was a wonderful cabin; clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed playing games with the kids and taking relaxing walks around the neighborhood, which felt very safe and secure. Trista and Brian were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Five stars…we would definitely come back again!

We had 4 adults, a teenager and two babies for a weekend spring break getaway. It was an incredible time, the cabin had everything we needed for all of us! Very kid friendly, highly recommend. Also, great location!

We had the best stay here! It was the perfect spot for our family of four. Having the crib, changing table, and baby bath tub were game changing for ease on a trip with my baby! My 4 year old loved playing out front making fairy gardens in nature and going in the hot tub. The cabin was so cozy and had a great view. The kitchen and dining area were perfect open concept for us to enjoy family time all together. We loved walking the neighborhood multiple times a day and all the neighbors were kind and friendly as we roamed. It’s close to lots of dining and the lake. Trista was super responsive and helpful. She was super communicative and kind. We will definitely be back!

This was place perfect! We booked it specifically so we DIDN'T have to leave the cabin. We had two small children with us and there was so much for them and for us to do. The kitchen was also fully stocked with everything we needed. Both hosts were responsive and helpful. Just make sure to be out right at check out time. We were about 20 min over because our 3yr old was having a meltdown all morning and our host contacted us to let us know (politely) that the cleaners were already there, which we felt pretty bad about. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

It was perfect for me and my 4 teens we felt very comfortable and right at home. It was a perfect location close to everything we needed and wanted to do while visiting. We highly recommend and will most definitely be returning for future stays.

We had an amazing stay at Trista’s cabin — truly one of those places that immediately feels like a home you’ve known forever. The amenities were spot‑on and went above and beyond what we expected, making our trip effortless from the moment we arrived. We loved the layout of the cabin, the cozy flow of each space, and the way it all came together to create such an inviting atmosphere. But the standout detail for me? The cleanliness. I always bring my own indoor slippers when traveling, and the second I swapped into them, I noticed how spotless the floors were. That’s something so many Airbnbs overlook, and it instantly told me we were in for a great stay. It set the tone for the entire trip — thoughtful, cared for, and truly well‑kept. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely stay again the next time we visit Big Bear! Thank you for being such responsive and thoughtful hosts to us.

Walking distance to convention center and Octoberfest. Mountain Weather can change drastically on very short notice. Snow chains may be required during your stay. Snow chains can be purchase at retails stores, sporting goods stores, and auto part stores in town. Chain Controls Requirement Levels: W: NO restrictions - Watch for snow on the pavement R-1: Chains are required on all commercial vehicles (buses and semi-trucks). All other vehicles (cars, truck, vans etc.) must have either snow tread tires or chains on to drive axle. R-2: Chains are retired on all vehicles except 4-wheel drives with snow tread tires. 4-Wheel drive vehicles must care chains in vehicle. R-3: Chains required - ALL VEHICLES - no exceptions. For current road conditions, please search Big Bear Mountain Road Conditions. Snow chains can be purchase at retails stores, sporting goods stores, and auto part stores in town.
